Rabbi Mitchell Goodman, born in London, is now a resident of Manchester. After gaining a bachelor honour's degree, specialising in Molecular Genetics & Physiology, he went to study in Yeshivos in Israel. While in Jerusalem he gained further degrees including a masters in Judaic Law with a minor in Education. He also gained a teaching diploma from the Israeli Ministry of Education and semicha in Issur vHetter. In 2005 he moved to Hale Barns, South Manchester, to direct the Hale Adult Hebrew Education Trust. Since 2007 he directs Jewish Education in Manchester (JEM) servicing the North of England with seminars, courses, social events and more, enhancing Jewish awareness and identity at all ages across the Jewish spectrum.
