Title Birchos Hamitzvos Oyver La'Asyoson
Summary All Mitzvos must have their Brochois receited "Oyver La'asyoson" - but what does this really mean? And are there any exceptions? What if someone did the Mitzvoh without the Brocha altogether? One of the main sources of this topic is the Gemara regarding someone who takes the Lulav - that from the time he grasps it, surely he is already Yoitze the mitzvah! How about a potential Ger Tzedek who is toivelling - when should he recite the brocha? A fascinating Gemorah in Menochas together with a Maharsha was then discussed, in relation to Moshe Rabeinu dying 8 pesukim before the end of the Torah - but then who wrote those last few pesukim? Amazing ideas from the Maharal and the Netziv followed. Other "Nafka Minois" were explored, to include Netilas Yodayim, Neiros Shabbos and Shechita and the Shiur ended with an interesting thought in relation to Sipur Yetzias Mitzrayim.
