Furthermore, the famous Chazal tells us that Hashem told the Yidden that if they don't accept the Torah then "Shom Tehay Kevuraschem" - listen to a beautiful "alternative" pshat! Following this was a most remarkable Medrash in relation to the total quiet state of the world during the giving of the Torah with all that this entailed. Reb Chaim Volozhin explains what it means that the Yidden "saw what could normally only be heard" - and gives a totally new approach...! |
