Title | Dirshu Highlights |
Summary | Rabbi Greenblatt 'threw out' some interesting Halachic scenarios to today's, rather captivated, audience! Himself an active Dirshu participant and Maggid Shiur of Mishna Brura Yomi, his knowledge and clarity in Halacha soon became evident. When is the correct place to bow for Modim - at the beginning, end, or both? Is Birkas Kohanim a mitzvah on the Kohanim or upon the entire Tzibur? At this point Rabbi Greenblatt delivered a classic Beis Halevi on the topic at hand (upon which the Chazon Ish is not best pleased)! Other topics included why must Kohanim wash their hands for Birkas Kohanim? Why by the Leviim - and what if there are no Leviim? In more of a Drush/Mussar style, a beautiful vort from Sefer Darkei Mussar (by Reb Yaakov Nyman) followed, which was based upon the writings of Reb Simcha Zissel of Kelm, regarding the severity of the sin of Bittul Torah. Reb Chanoch concluded by wishing the Oilam that the zechus of attending "Start Your Day" should not only stand us in good stead for the merit of the Torah learned whilst there, but that this should also protect us for any daily "nisyoinois" that may come our way - Omein!! |
