Summary | Reb Yossi Shlit"a discussed the huge significance and importance of both Tefilla BeTzibur and Achdus during the Days of the Omer, at a time when th Talmidei Reb Akiva died, precisely for not having this togetherness. In the same vein, a great Tzadik was once known to say "the worst Tefilla Betzibur that a person may do - is still better than the best Tefilla BeYochid"! Listen to a powerful story of Reb Shimon Bar Yochai and the tremendous Mesiras Nefesh of the local water carrier. A beautiful story of the Karliner Rebbe followed soon after. Reb Pinchos Friedman elaborates upon the theme that a Minyan is not just 10 individuals who come together - it is a new "Cheifetz" of a Minyan! The Shiur concluded with a famous (and beautful!) story with the Ponevizher Rov when he arranged a post-war distribution of pillows and blankets to the needy orphans. |
