| Summary | Rabbi Roberts discussed several thought-provoking ideas on this week's Parsha. He began with 3 different Peshotim in the Reshonim regarding the opening mitzvah of Kedoshim Tihyu, along with a debate as to whether this is in fact included in the minyan Hamitzvos. A remarkable Yerushalmi in Kiddushin was introduced in relation to the Mitzvah of Kibbud Ov and both its severity - and difficulty to observe on one hand, yet on the other hand, how aspiring to always remain in a state of Kedusha is a big segula to keep this Mitzva, hence the juxtaposition in the Parsha! A brilliant idea from Reb Yaakov Kamenetsky zt"l followed and the Shiur was concluded with a heartwarming story involving Reb Sholom Shwadron and Reb Elya Lopian, which highlighted the importance of time. |
