| Summary | Reb Moshe Feldman provided us with plenty of food for thought this morning on the theme - Grabbing the Opportunity! He began with a remarkable story that took place with Reb Yehuda Wallis in the Dachau concentration camp, involving himself, a pair of Tefillin, an 18 year old girl and a fantastic Kiddush Hashem that will send shivers down your spine. Throughout the Torah, we were taught of outstanding characters who "seized the moment" and constantly fulfilled their quest to further elevate themselves spiritually. There were those, on the other hand, e.g. Lot, who despite having the privilege of living with Avrohom Avinu, failed to grasp the moment, which ultimately led Avrohom Avinu to distance himself from Lot! Two more inspiring stories followed, one involving Reb Isser Zalman Meltzer & Reb Aryeh Levin, and the other, Reb Yisroel Salanter when he acted in a somewhat unconventional manner, despite it being Erev Yom Kippur! |
