Title | Gebroktz |
Summary | Rabbi Santhouse Shlit"a gave a very concise Shiur with regard to "Gebrokts" - to include its sources, and some insight with regard those who are against it and those in favour. It is subject to a debate amongst the Rishonim which was very clearly delivered. Reb Yaakov Emden in the name of his father the Chacham Zvi appears very in favour, stating "...the mind cannot tolerate all these stringencies..."! The Shulchan Aruch Harav has a lengthy responsa about this, in which he at first appears to go 'on the defensive' but ultimately seems to change his approach and goes on the 'offensive'! The Shaarei Teshuva explains that there has been a change in the way Matzos are made which naturally has a bearing on this. Rabbi Santhouse Shlit"a emphasised that after all is said and done, it is vital that each side should be tolerant of the other...! |
